This device is capable of use without decreasing the servo performance, it accents the resolution and smoothness especially on Giant scale Airplanes, and excessive hunting can be reduced.Be sure to apply JR “Super Grease” in between the moving surface of servo arm and around the servo output shaft area on top servo case. (Note: It is suggested to use the “Poly Slider” plastic washer between the dampener with Super Grease applied on both sides)
Having too many dampener plates can cause too much friction causing high current draw and damage to the servo. Be sure to check that servo movement is not too tight when dampener plate is installed. Also note that the gap between the servo arm and around the servo output shaft area on top of the servo case may differ depending on the type of servo arm installed. Be sure that there is enough gap between the servo case and servo arm to install this dampener plate.
■It is suggested to use an amp meter to check the amperage while the servo is without the control surface load (disconnect the linkage to the control surface). Current should be within 0.1A to 0.2A as maximum current comparison of not having dampener plate.
■Be sure to check that servo movement is not too heavy load by having dampener plate installed. Also note that gap between the Servo arm and around the servo output shaft area on top servo case may be different depend on the installation of the arm or the type of Servo manufacturer. Be sure that there is an enough gap between to install this dampener plate.
